Definitions
- the invention relates to a lamp.
- Fluorescent lamps or tubes are already known and are used in a variety of ways. Such tubes are quite complex and expensive with regard to their additional devices, such as glow igniters and compensation capacitors, and must be replaced as a whole in the event of a defect. In addition, such fluorescent lamps or tubes have to be operated with mains voltage or with high voltage, which is not desirable in many cases. The fluorescent lamps or tubes of known design sometimes produce quite cold, unnatural ones. Light, which is particularly undesirable for lighting, valuable objects, such as pictures, other art objects, museum objects and when used in connection with showcases and display cases.
- the invention is therefore based on the object to provide a luminaire, in particular a tubular luminaire, which can be produced extremely simply and inexpensively, gives a natural, warm light, can also be operated with a voltage lower than the mains voltage and with regard to the replacement of lamps used are very easy to maintain.
- this object is achieved in that at least two festoon lamps are arranged in series as light sources in a lamp tube.
- Festoon lamps are manufactured in very large numbers, for example, for automotive electronics and for signaling technology with a long service life and are therefore extremely inexpensive. In addition, they give an appealing, natural, warm light in contrast to fluorescent tubes.
- compression springs preferably spiral springs
- the compression springs make it very easy to replace a tubular lamp if it burns out, since it only needs to be moved against the spring force of the compression spring and removed from the lamp tube. Inserting the new festoon lamp is just as easy.
- an intermediate compression spring is located between the contact ends of two festoon lamps which are directed towards each other, which is also electrically conductive and thereby ensures reliable and elastic contact between the individual festoon lamps.
- the intermediate pressure springs are usually not required, especially if the lamp tube is not too long. In this case, one or two external compression springs are sufficient.
- the intermediate pressure springs ensure better contact between the individual tubular lamps.
- sleeves made of non-conductive material, which is preferably heat-resistant up to 120 ° C. and can be Teflon, for example, are provided according to a further preferred embodiment.
- This sleeve preferably comprises both cylindrical peripheral surfaces of the contact ends of two tubular lamps which are directed towards one another and, if appropriate, the intermediate compression spring.
- the sleeve also serves as a spacer, in order to prevent the glass of the festoon lamps from coming into contact with the lamp tube, for example in the event of a vibration, as a result of which, due to the strong heat flow occurring at this point, stresses can possibly occur in the glass and the festoon lamp is destroyed.
- the lamp tube has a wider or narrower slot, depending on the circumstances, over a certain length of the lamp tube, from which light can emerge.
- the luminaire tube is preferably rotatable in the luminaire body or luminaire tube holder, but is electrically conductive for grounding purposes. By turning the lamp tube, it is therefore possible to optimally and individually illuminate a certain object, for example a painting.
- the lamp according to the invention is particularly well suited in particular for illuminating paintings, pictures, display cases, showcases, notice boards and advertising materials, such as posters, etc. Because in contrast to mock-up lights, which are mainly used in these cases, more uniform illumination is possible with the luminaire according to the invention and in particular the luminaire according to the invention emits significantly less heat, which, in contrast to mock-up lights, also distributes better and does not give up selectively on a small area an object, such as a painting, is emitted. In particular, pictures, paintings with a varnish coating and other heat and heat sensitive objects are therefore not at risk when illuminated with the lamp according to the invention.
- the luminous bodies have a plurality of lamp tube holders, in which a plurality of lamp tubes are each arranged parallel to one another.
- a compression spring 5 which consists of conductive material and rests against a conductive plate that is insulated from the other lamp body. This plate is connected to a connecting line 12. Rivets 13 are attached near the ends of the lamp tube holder 6, the internal rivet head being located in a corresponding recess 14 in a lamp tube 3. The lamp tube is therefore protected against axial displacement relative to the lamp body; on the other hand, the lamp tube 3 can be rotated about its longitudinal axis due to the recess or groove 14 on the outer circumference of the lamp tube 3.
- the compression spring 5 is enclosed by a sleeve 15 made of electrically non-conductive material, through which an outer contact end 4 of the right-most tubular lamp 2 in the drawing extends.
- This tubular lamp 3 or its outer contact end 4 stands with the compression spring 5 in contact, which on the one hand forms an electrical line between the connecting cable 12 and the contact end and on the other hand presses the tubular lamp to one or more further tubular lamps in the lamp tube, so that good electrical contact is ensured between the contact ends 4 of the respective tubular lamps.
- sleeves 9 are provided which surround the entire circumferential surfaces of the contact ends 4. These sleeves preferably consist of one to about 120 0 heat-resistant plastic that is electrically non-conductive.
- Polyacetal resin (POM) is heat-resistant and highly insulating between -50 ° and +150 0 C, and therefore well suited as a sleeve material.
- an intermediate compression spring 7 is located between the contact ends of two festoon lamps facing each other.
- this intermediate compression spring 7 can also be omitted, so that the tips of the contact ends 4 of the festoon lamps 2 touch directly and are in good condition due to the spring action of the compression spring 5 Be kept in contact.
- the sleeve 9 would then either have to be shortened a little, or even better, so that the inside diameter of the sleeve does not abut the glass shoulder, but rather the tubular lamp with its glass jacket can be inserted into the sleeve at least to such an extent that the tips of the contact ends 4 touch.
- the lamp body, the lamp tube, the sleeves and compression springs, but not the festoon lamp itself, are shown in cross-section.
- the luminaire according to the invention can be seen from the outside on the left-hand side of the drawing.
- Fastening arms 16 and fastening lugs 17 for fastening the luminaire to the wall or to the ceiling are shown on the luminaire bodies or luminaire tube holders 6.
- the design effort for the lamp according to the invention is extremely low.
- the lamp can be easily shortened or lengthened with little effort and with the same lamp body or lamp tube holder using lamp tubes of different lengths, which is not the case with conventional fluorescent tubes.
- the luminaire according to the invention also has the essential advantage that it operates at different voltages, that is to say it can be regulated by means of a dimmer and does not give rise to radio switch-on interference.
Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Leuchte. The invention relates to a lamp.
Fluorescent lamps or tubes are already known and are used in a variety of ways.
The invention is therefore based on the object to provide a luminaire, in particular a tubular luminaire, which can be produced extremely simply and inexpensively, gives a natural, warm light, can also be operated with a voltage lower than the mains voltage and with regard to the replacement of lamps used are very easy to maintain.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that at least two festoon lamps are arranged in series as light sources in a lamp tube.
Festoon lamps are manufactured in very large numbers, for example, for automotive electronics and for signaling technology with a long service life and are therefore extremely inexpensive. In addition, they give an appealing, natural, warm light in contrast to fluorescent tubes.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, compression springs, preferably spiral springs, are attached to the outer contact ends of the row of tubular lamps, which press the tubular lamps together with their contact ends, so that good electrical contact is created and the contact resistance is kept as low as possible. The compression springs make it very easy to replace a tubular lamp if it burns out, since it only needs to be moved against the spring force of the compression spring and removed from the lamp tube. Inserting the new festoon lamp is just as easy.
According to an alternative embodiment according to the invention, an intermediate compression spring is located between the contact ends of two festoon lamps which are directed towards each other, which is also electrically conductive and thereby ensures reliable and elastic contact between the individual festoon lamps. However, the intermediate pressure springs are usually not required, especially if the lamp tube is not too long. In this case, one or two external compression springs are sufficient.
In some cases, especially in the case of relatively long lamp tubes or in the case of somewhat curved lamp tubes in which the tubular lamps lie at an angle of less than 1800, the intermediate pressure springs ensure better contact between the individual tubular lamps.
In order to prevent the contact ends of the festoon lamps from coming into contact with the normally grounded lamp tube, sleeves made of non-conductive material, which is preferably heat-resistant up to 120 ° C. and can be Teflon, for example, are provided according to a further preferred embodiment. This sleeve preferably comprises both cylindrical peripheral surfaces of the contact ends of two tubular lamps which are directed towards one another and, if appropriate, the intermediate compression spring. The sleeve also serves as a spacer, in order to prevent the glass of the festoon lamps from coming into contact with the lamp tube, for example in the event of a vibration, as a result of which, due to the strong heat flow occurring at this point, stresses can possibly occur in the glass and the festoon lamp is destroyed.
The lamp tube has a wider or narrower slot, depending on the circumstances, over a certain length of the lamp tube, from which light can emerge. The luminaire tube is preferably rotatable in the luminaire body or luminaire tube holder, but is electrically conductive for grounding purposes. By turning the lamp tube, it is therefore possible to optimally and individually illuminate a certain object, for example a painting.
The lamp according to the invention is particularly well suited in particular for illuminating paintings, pictures, display cases, showcases, notice boards and advertising materials, such as posters, etc.
According to a further embodiment of the present invention, the luminous bodies have a plurality of lamp tube holders, in which a plurality of lamp tubes are each arranged parallel to one another. This allows the most varied of lights, such as, in a simple and very cost-effective manner For example, create areal lights, lights with vertical, parallel arranged lamp tubes, etc.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to a drawing, for example.
In the one lamp body or
In order to prevent the contact ends 4 of the
In the illustrated embodiment, an
On the right side, the lamp body, the lamp tube, the sleeves and compression springs, but not the festoon lamp itself, are shown in cross-section. The luminaire according to the invention can be seen from the outside on the left-hand side of the drawing. Fastening
Obviously, the design effort for the lamp according to the invention is extremely low. The lamp can be easily shortened or lengthened with little effort and with the same lamp body or lamp tube holder using lamp tubes of different lengths, which is not the case with conventional fluorescent tubes. When choosing the lamp tubes according to the present invention, it is only necessary to ensure that the lamp tubes must each have an integer multiple of the length of the tubular lamps.
Compared to fluorescent tubes with fluorescent starter operation, the luminaire according to the invention also has the essential advantage that it operates at different voltages, that is to say it can be regulated by means of a dimmer and does not give rise to radio switch-on interference.
