Description
The invention relates to a device for lining the inner wall of industrial furnaces with a number of insulating blocks, each of which has a corrugated, possibly needled insulating mat made of high-temperature-resistant material, in particular ceramic fiber material, in the outer fold area of which supporting elements are arranged, which are also on the outside the fastening means provided for the separate fastening of each insulating block to the furnace wall can be connected.
In a known device of this type (DE-OS 26 35 623), the support elements are formed by support profiles embedded in at least two outer ends of the folds, each of which a web which is attached to the center of the latter extends through a corresponding opening in the insulation mat to the outside of the insulation block and there an opening passes through a fastening rail directed transversely to the fibers of the mat and can be connected to the latter by subsequent bending into the plane of the fastening rail. The fastening rail itself can be inserted laterally into a C-shaped holding element which can be connected to the furnace wall, a fastening screw or the like being insertable through a fastening opening in the C-shaped holding element for connection to the furnace wall. Furthermore, a further opening, which can be aligned with the opening in the C-shaped holding element, is also formed in the fastening rail which can be pushed into the C-shaped holding element, which enables access to the fastening means passing through the opening in the C-shaped holding element after a corresponding opening has previously been drilled in the region of the insulating mat opposite these openings. Because of this design, if an individual insulation block becomes defective, it is necessary to shut down and cool the furnace in order to then be able to loosen the fastening screws from the interior of the furnace through the insulation mat in the manner described above, and then, if necessary, after removing an insulation block can detach and replace further insulating blocks by pushing the mounting rails out of the associated C-shaped holding elements.
In another known device (DE-OS 22 31 658) a number of fiberboards are connected to each other through all plates penetrating, at the ends bent at right angles to support rods, the support rods being attached to a block of refractory material by means of these encompassing U-shaped fastening elements are, in which a central bore is formed, into which, also from the inside of the insulating block, a metallic fastening bolt can be inserted and connected at one end by means of an arc welding device to a metallic furnace wall and then the opposite, threaded end of this fastening ing bolt can be connected to the block of refractory material by means of a washer. Accordingly, this known device also requires accessibility from the interior of the furnace when replacing a single insulation block that has become defective, and accordingly requires the entire furnace to be stopped and cooled.
The object of the invention is to provide a solution by means of which individual insulation blocks which have become defective can be easily removed from the outside without interrupting the operation of the furnace and can be replaced by a new insulation block, and at the same time the individual insulation blocks are inherently stable and easy to handle.
In a device of the type mentioned at the outset, this object is achieved according to the invention in that each insulating block has on its outside a base plate with at least two mutually opposite sides, outward-facing webs, in such a way that adjacent insulating blocks by means of fastening screws passing through these webs in a cassette-like manner are connectable to each other, and that the base plate serves as a connecting element between the support elements for the folded insulating mat and the fastening means.
Because of this design, with a suitable design of the furnace wall, ie partial removability of the same in such a way that individual insulation blocks which have become defective are accessible from the outside, each insulation block for itself after the loosening of the fastening screws penetrating the webs of the base plates of adjacent insulation blocks and removed to the outside and replaced by a new insulation block without the furnace being shut down during this work needs, because with appropriate preparation, the removal of the damaged and reinserting the new insulating block can be done in a matter of seconds. In addition, the base plate, which connects the supporting elements for the insulating mat and the fastening means for fastening to the furnace wall, results in an excellent dimensional stability of each insulating block, both before and during assembly, and, above all, the fastening webs formed in one piece with the base plate Ensure a very safe and secure regular lining even when fully assembled.
A particularly advantageous embodiment results if the fastening means are formed by hooks rotatably mounted in the base plate, which can be suspended in holding means provided on the furnace wall, in particular continuous holding rods.
In order to prevent - in the event of deflagrations occurring in the furnace - unintentional loosening of individual Isolation blocks occurs, it is advisable to assign a locking element to each fastening hook, whereby a particularly simple design results if one forms such a locking element as a locking piece that can be inserted between the holding means and the adjacent base plate web, which is inserted after the associated fastening hook has been hooked in and before unhooking again Will get removed.
Furthermore, one can use as support elements for the folded insulating mat at least two supporting rods which penetrate all folds of the same and can be connected to the base plate, in such a way that a secure hold.all folds of the insulating mat are ensured and in particular it is prevented that the end folds can fall off the supporting rods, such as this can occur with the support rods of the insulating blocks bent over at the ends according to DE-OS 22 31 658.
Furthermore, it is particularly easy and safe to arrange a damping or compensation element made of high-temperature-resistant material between base plate webs of adjacent insulating blocks lying opposite one another. In the known device according to DE-OS 22 31 658, such damping or compensating elements are simply inserted between the individual insulating blocks and are therefore not securely fixed, while due to the inventive design between the opposing base plate If there are adjacent insulating blocks, secure clamping and additional securing is ensured by the fastening screws in the relevant base plate webs which also penetrate the damping and compensating element in question.
It is advisable to hold each insulating mat together in the folded state with its assembly on the associated base plate to facilitate tapes, such tapes being made of non-heat-resistant material, since these can easily burn off when the oven is in use after assembly.
Finally, each insulating mat can be formed from several layers, which have a higher temperature resistance towards the inside of the furnace, in order to make the production cheaper in this way, since the cost of insulating material naturally increases in accordance with its temperature resistance.

In addition, outwardly directed
In the installation example shown in FIG. 2, a row of insulating blocks 1 is arranged in an aisle between two rows of schematically indicated
As further shown in FIG. 2, each
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, an entire furnace ceiling is continuously covered with
As the described exemplary embodiments show, it is easily possible due to the design according to the invention to remove a single insulating block after loosening the
Of course, the exemplary embodiments described can be modified in many ways without departing from the basic idea of the invention. In particular, insulating blocks of the type described can also be used for lining Be walls are used. Furthermore, honeycomb-shaped hexagons with a corresponding six edge webs or other regularly assembled polygon shapes can be used instead of square outline shapes. Instead of continuous holding rods for hanging the hooks fastened to the base plates, other hanging elements, such as hanging eyes or the like, can be provided on the furnace wall construction in question. The insulating mat could also be attached to the base plate in a manner other than that described, for example by the known support profiles according to DE-OS 26 35 623 and the like inserted into individual outer fold ends of the insulating mat and the like.
