Gemäß der Erfindung wird dies dadurch erreicht, daß die Kohlebürste in ein Werkzeug einer Kunststoffverarbeitungsmaschine eingebracht und in diesem in seinem einen Endbereich zur Bildung der Isolierhalterung eine Ummantelung mit einem Kunststoff erfährt. Als Kunststoffe für die Isolierhalterung können Thermoplaste oder Duroplaste Verwendung finden. Auf diese Weise wird eine einwandfreie Verbindung zwischen Kohlebürste und Isolierhalterung erreicht, wobei an die Isolierhalterung vorteilhaft ein Befestigungsnocken, ein Rundbolzen od.dgl. angeformt ist, so daß diese zur Befestigung an einem Hebelarm oder einem Gehäuse dienen kann.
