Abstract
Se usan neurotoxinas de Clostridium naturales y/o modificadas, incluyendo aquellas neurotoxinas libres de proteínas complejantes que naturalmente forman complejos con las neurotoxinas clostridiales, para mejorar la cicatrización de una superficie o tejido superficial lesionado de un paciente mediante la administración local en el tejido lesionado o muy próximo al mismo. Dichas neurotoxinas se pueden emplear ventajosamente en la cicatrización de heridas y la prevención de formación de cicatrices y encuentran aplicación en el campo de la oftalmología, p. ej., en el tratamiento del tejido lesionado de la córnea por ejemplo mediante el cierre del ojo inflamado. Otra realización incluye el uso diagnóstico para evaluar la administración eficaz de la toxina y medicamentos para emplear en dicho uso.
