Настоящее изобретение относится к области способов и печатающих устройств для получения слоев с оптическим эффектом (OEL), содержащих магнитно ориентированные пластинчатые магнитные или намагничиваемые частицы пигмента на подложке. В частности, настоящее изобретение относится к способам, в которых используют печатающие устройства, содержащие первое устройство, генерирующее магнитное поле, установленное на устройстве для переноса (TD), и статическое второе устройство, генерирующее магнитное поле, для получения указанных OEL в качестве средств против подделки на защищаемых документах или защищаемых изделиях, а также в декоративных целях.
