Abstract

The device and method for removing blood clots are designed to restore blood flow and remove blood clots from the lumen of blood vessels, in particular clogged cerebral arteries. The technical result of the claimed invention is to increase the accuracy, speed and efficiency of removing blood clots from the blood vessels of the brain without destroying the blood clot, reducing the risk of injury of the device for blood vessels, reducing the likelihood of violation of the integrity of the device during the operation to remove the clot. The technical result is achieved in that the device for removing a thrombus contains a self-expanding mesh structure and a pusher, connected by a strong and secure connection, which reduces the likelihood of detachment of the mesh structure from the pusher and allows more confidently removing from the patient's body an integrated mass consisting of a mesh structure and a thrombus; and also by the fact that the distal radiopaque marks of the device, necessary for visualizing the correct placement of the device in the vessel, are coated with a radiopaque binding agent that has a smooth surface, which contributes to the safety, accuracy and speed of the manipulations.
