Изобретение относится к новому способу синтеза оксида азота(IV) NOи может быть использовано в неорганической и органической химии. При получении оксида азота(IV) NOосуществляют реакцию между азотной и уксусной кислотами в среде концентрированной серной кислоты при оптимальном соотношении 40:6:80 по объему или в интервале отношения объемов кислот (30-70):(4-120):(80-160) соответственно при температуре кипения раствора. Оксид азота(IV) NOсобирают в ловушке с температурой (-5)-(20)°С или не осуществляют конденсацию. Выход оксида азота(IV) NOдостигает 90% при полной конверсии азотной кислоты. Дополнительную очистку оксида азота(IV) NOосуществляют простой перегонкой. Отработанный раствор упаривают до концентрации 85-97% по серной кислоте и используют повторно в реакции.
