Указанный редуктор преимущественно состоит из одноступенчатого шестеренчатого редуктора и одноступенчатой ременной передачи. Железнодорожная платформа дополнительно может содержать систему управления генератором, систему преобразования и стабилизации напряжения и тока, систему защиты электроцепей, систему электроразъемов для подключения всех применяемых видов потребителей, систему диагностики электрооборудования и электроцепей.
