Abstract

Inflow control devices are equipped to provide selective hydraulic communication between the internal channel of the completion column and the annular space. The expansion tool is equipped at the leading end of the completion string, and the expansion tool descends into the wellbore with the completion string. The expanding tool comprises a fluid-driven drive unit expanding the housing and expanding the nose. In operation, the completion column is installed in the wellbore, and fluid is supplied to the expansion tool to effect expansion of the wellbore. The second tubular in the form of a flushing pipe may pass through the inner channel of the completion column to supply fluid to the expansion tool. The expansion tool is operable at a fluid pressure below the pressure at which the inflow control devices are activated.
