Abstract

In one embodiment, the present invention provides a method comprising providing a fracturing fluid comprising an aqueous medium and a microemulsion surfactant, said fracturing fluid substantially free of organic solvent; and placing the fracturing fluid into the subterranean formation at a rate sufficient to create or augment at least one subterranean formation fracture.
