Abstract

Membranes are prepared from polybenzimidazoles by phase inversion, and then cross-linked by the addition of crosslinking agents. They stabilize the membranes and allow the nanofiltration of the solvent to be maintained, even in solvents from which the membranes were formed by phase inversion, as well as in strongly acidic and strongly basic solvents.
