Abstract

The system contains an extractor with a metal belt (2) that collects ash that settles in the lower part of the boiler (100), a crushing system (3) designed to increase the heat exchange surface of the material, one or more metal conveyors (4, 6) that perform the cooling function by supplying a counter-current air flow flowing through the transported ash, an in-line cooling device (5) that performs the function of repeatedly introducing additional air counter-current into the ash contact to increase the possible heat exchange without the need to increase the air flow entering the combustion chamber. Such additional air may preferably be directed to a location upstream of the air heater, or may be vented to the atmosphere after fine particles have been removed.
