The polymer dispersant may be a water-soluble polymer having a molecular weight of at least 2000 Da. The solid particulate material may be selected from materials having a relative density of at least 2.68, and, preferably, the particulate dispersed material may be selected from barium sulfate (barite), calcium carbonate, dolomite, ilmenite, hematite, olivine, siderite, sulfate strontium, their combinations and mixtures of them and other similar solid materials that should be known to a person skilled in the art.
