This arrangement allows for a compact and easy folding. The carrier bar provides a large, compact surface. The hinge lock fixes the angle of inclination of the leg, i.e. one of the "Z" angles is constant and the other is variable. In particular, the hinge lock can be a cross member between the stem and the front end of the rifle, the attachment of which along the front end is adjustable.
