Abstract

The invention relates to biometric person identification and authentication techniques and can be used in systems of restricted access to guarded facilities, training and electronic document management systems, electronic passports and identity cards. A method to identify a person by its EEG response to ambiguous images consists in identifying individual reactions to various stimuli using electric encephalograms (EEGs) generated by the so-called ambiguous images, e.g., Necker cubes; presenting a small set of such to the person identified yields a sufficiently complete EEG portrait, which is stored in the database and is used as a reference for further identification; artificial neural networks are used to generate recognition algorithms. The technical result is the experimentally-verified correct identification of a single operator among the two or several in 99% of cases thus proving the functionality, reliability and high precision of the method proposed while using a limited number of simple stimuli that Necker cubes present. Reducing the number of stimuli cuts back on the time required to implement the method.
