Abstract

A wrapped container has a label (2) attached to the container (1) and to the wrapper. The label (2) comprises at least one line of weakness (3). It is affixed to the wrapper with a high tack connection and is less strongly affixed to the container (1) with a low tack connection such that upon removal of the wrapper the label (2) is at least partially ruptured along the at least one line of weakness (3) and is completely removed from the container (1).

Description

The present invention relates to a wrapped container having a label attached to the container and to the wrapping material. In a preferred embodiment, the wrapped container is a container for smoking articles, such as cigarette packs, having a tax stamp attached to it.

In many countries, packs for smoking articles and other containers for smoking articles should be marked with a tax stamp to indicate that the required tax has been paid. Moreover, the tax payment mark should, as a rule, be applied in such a way that it will certainly collapse when the container for smoking articles is opened by the consumer. To meet this requirement, tax stamps on traditional hinged lid packs for cigarettes are usually attached along a lid line intersecting at an oblique angle on one of the side surfaces of the pack in such a way that the tax mark is broken when the consumer folds the lid back to get Access to cigarettes stored inside the pack.

For tanks that do not have such a [folding joint], for example, sliding and shell containers, a different solution was provided. The international patent application νθ 2006/097850 discloses such a packaged cigarette pack having a tax payment mark applied only to the lid. The tax stamp has two parts, which are separated by a weak line, such as a pre-perforated line. One part of the tax payment stamp is attached to the container and not attached or just less tightly attached to the wrapping material, while the other part of the tax payment stamp is attached to the wrapping material or not attached or only less tightly attached to the container. As a result, when removing the wrapping material, the two parts of the tax payment mark are at least partially separated along a pre-perforated line.

Consequently, at least the corresponding part of the tax payment mark that is attached to the container remains attached to the container after the wrapping material has been removed. In other ways of applying labels or marks on the payment of taxes on the container part of the label that remains on the container, requires space on the outside of the container, which can be used in another way, for example, for printed or decorative elements.

The present invention now provides a new packed container or a new method for packaging consumer products in a wrapped container, which allows for complete removal of the label when the wrapping material is removed from the wrapped container. At the same time, the sticker is at least partially destroyed when the wrapping material is removed from the wrapped container.

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a wrapped container having a label that is attached to the container and to the wrapping material in which the label contains at least one weakened line. The sticker is attached to the wrapping material with a strongly bonding joint and attached to a container with a weakly bonding connection such that when removing the wrapping material, the sticker is at least partially broken along at least one weakened line and completely removed from the container.

In this context, the expression weakly bonding is used to describe the stickiness of the connection between the sticker and the container. A strongly bonding expression is used to describe the stickiness of the joint between the sticker and the wrapping material. The strength of a weakly bonding compound and a strongly bonding compound is such that when the wrapping material is removed, the strongly bonding compound remains substantially intact, despite the fact that the weakly bonding compound is broken. The strength of the weakly bonding connection is such that removing the wrapping material produces sufficient shear forces to tear at least one weakened line on the label before the weakly bonding connection between the label and the container is destroyed.

The wrapped container in accordance with the invention satisfies the requirement that the tax payment mark is at least partially destroyed and cannot be reused after the user removes the wrapping material from the wrapped container. At the same time, when the wrapping material is completely removed, the tax payment mark will also be completely removed from the container. This provides the possibility of a full view of all printed or other decorative elements of the container.

In one embodiment of the wrapped container according to the invention, the label is attached to the container and to the wrapping material by means of an adhesive, wherein the adhesive for attaching the label to the container is a weakly adherent adhesive, for example, a water-based polyethylene adhesive, for example TOVALSY ΖΌ 4404-01, available for purchase from Nepke1 & С1е АО. Preferably, the weakly bonding adhesive is more firmly attached to the label than to the container, so that the weakly adhesive adhesive remains essentially completely on the label as soon as the connection is destroyed, and the capacity remains essentially without adhesive. This can be obtained, for example, by selecting the surface structures of the container and the label. The use of a weakly bonding adhesive, which is designed to adhere slightly to the container, ensures that the sticker is completely removed from the container when the wrapping material is removed. The adhesive for attaching the sticker to the wrapping material is a very strong adhesive, for example

- 1 016664 standard, hot melt adhesive. Hot melt adhesive is usually used in the manufacture of containers for the formation of long-term compounds. Suitable weakly bonding and strongly bonding adhesives are known in the art.

In a preferred embodiment of the wrapped container according to the invention, the label comprises two or ten weakened lines which are located on the label, more preferably from four to six weakened lines.

Preferably, at least one weakened line is located along at least one edge of the label. The corresponding weakened line can extend from one edge of the sticker, forming an angle with this edge of the sticker. Preferably, this angle is from 5 to 90 °, more preferably from 30 to 60 °, and most preferably about 45 °. In embodiments of the wrapped container according to the invention, where the sticker has more than one weakened line, preferably the weakened lines are parallel.

In an alternative embodiment of the wrapped container of the invention, at least one weakened line intersects with the two edges of the label. In a further alternative embodiment, at least one weakened line does not intersect with any edge of the label, but is located directly on the label.

The at least one weakened line may be a straight line, a wave line, a zigzag line, a dashed line, a dashed line, or any other suitable form, such as a letter or a graphic symbol. In embodiments of the wrapped container according to the invention, where the sticker has more than one weakened line, each weakened line may have a different shape.

Providing at least one weakened line on the label contributes to damage to the label when removing the wrapping material from the wrapped container.

It is preferred that the wrapped container in accordance with the invention has adhesive areas for attaching an elongated sticker to the wrapping material, which are located on this side of the sticker facing the wrapping material. Preferably the adhesive areas are located between the weakened lines of the label. In particular, it is preferable if additional weakly bonding adhesive areas for attaching an elongated label to the container are located on the side of the label that faces the container. It is preferable that the strongly bonding adhesive portions on the side of the label facing the wrapping material do not lie on the weakly bonding adhesive regions that are located on the side of the label facing the container. In particular, the preferred arrangement of these adhesive areas is such that at least one weakened line is located between the adhesive area on the side of the label facing the wrapping material and the adhesive section that is located on the side of the label facing the container.

More preferably, at least one weakened line is located asymmetrically between two points of adhesive on each side of the label. Such an arrangement of at least one weakened line exerts a large shearing force on a weakened line when the wrapping material is removed. This contributes to the destruction of the sticker when the wrapping material is removed.

It is preferred that in the wrapped container according to the invention, at least one weakened line is a pre-perforated line. Alternatively, the at least one weakened line may be an inflection line or a scoring line.

The wrapped container in accordance with the invention, in particular, is a pack of smoking articles, such as cigarettes. Preferably, the container is a sliding or shell pack, and the label is a tax payment mark.

An additional aspect of the invention relates to a method for wrapping a container, which comprises the following steps:

applying a weakly bonding adhesive to the label, on the side of the label that faces the container, and the label has at least one weakened line;

gluing stickers to the surface of the container;

applying a strongly bonding adhesive to the side of the label that faces the wrapping material;

wrapping the wrapping material around the container and sticking the sticker to the wrapping material.

This method of the invention is provided for a simple and reliable method for packaging smoking articles in a wrapped container.

Additional advantageous aspects of the invention may become apparent from the following description of an illustrative embodiment of a wrapped container in accordance with the invention, in which the drawing shows a general rear view of an embodiment of the wrapped container in accordance with the invention with a tax stamp attached.

The drawing shows a general rear view of an embodiment of a wrapped container in accordance with the invention in the form of a packed pack 1 for cigarettes. Pack 1 for cigarettes contains a base 10 and a cover 11. A sticker in the form of a 2 tax stamp (excise stamp) is attached to the cover 11. A transparent wrapping material, made for example of polypropylene, is not shown in the figure. Transparent wrapping material is tightly wrapped around a pack of 1 for cigarettes, as is known in the art. Wrapping material typically contains a tear-off tape (not shown), which contributes to the opening of the wrapping material.

As shown in the drawing, tax payment mark 2 has an elongated rectangular shape. Four weakened lines 3 are provided in the form of pre-perforated lines 3, extending from the bottom edge 20 of mark 2 for tax payment, and each forms an acute angle α with the edge 20 of mark 2 for tax payment.

The strongly bonding adhesive patches (points) 4 that attach the tax payment mark 2 to the wrapping material are located on the outside of the tax payment mark 2 facing the transparent wrapping material. To obtain these adhesive areas, a hot-melt adhesive is applied to the appropriate locations at 2 for the payment of taxes. The hot melt adhesive is provided for strongly bonding forces in such a way that the tax payment mark 2 is removed along with the wrapping material when the wrapping material is removed from the container. As can be seen in the figure, the strongly bonding adhesive portions 4 are located between the pre-perforated lines 3.

Additional weakly bonding adhesive areas (points) 5 for attaching the tax payment mark 2 to the cigarette pack 1 are located on the side of the tax payment mark 2, which is facing the cigarette pack 1. To obtain these additional weakly bonding adhesive sections 5, a weakly adhesive adhesive is applied, which makes it possible to easily separate the 2 tax mark from the pack 1 for cigarettes. These additional weakly bonding adhesive areas 5 are located above the pre-perforated lines 3.

When used, the wrapping material is removed towards the top of the cigarette pack 1. Therefore, the tax payment mark 2 is broken, at least partially along at least one of the pre-perforated lines 3, so that the tax payment mark 2 cannot be reused. The final removal of the wrapping material from pack 1 for cigarettes completely removes the torn mark 2 about paying taxes from pack 1 for cigarettes, because the weakly adhesive adhesive attaching mark 2 about paying taxes to the pack 1 for cigarettes provides only weakly binding adhesive forces. Any attempt to remove tax payment mark 2 from the wrapping material as soon as the wrapping material has been completely removed from cigarette pack 1 results in additional damage to tax payment mark 2 due to a strongly bonding adhesive (binding) connection between the wrapping material and mark 2 about payment taxes, such that the tax payment mark 2 cannot be reused for another capacity.

Although a particular embodiment of the invention has been described with respect to a cigarette container and a tax stamp, any other container and any other sticker that must be completely removed from the container when deploying wrapping material from the container is within the scope of the invention. For example, such other stickers to be removed include information for the consumer, advertising material, a coupon, an item for detecting the opening, or the like. Breaking a sticker can, for example, reveal that the sticker was used to provide additional communication with the consumer. Similarly, at least partial damage to the label, which is an element for determining the fact of opening, will indicate to the user or the authorities that the container has been opened and that, for example, the freshness of the goods inside the container may be in doubt.

In addition to the specific embodiment described above, alternative embodiments are also possible. For example, the specific locations where the adhesive may be applied, in other words, the scheme for applying the adhesive may vary depending on the established or required position of the tax payment mark and depending on the functionality regarding optimized removal and destruction of the tax payment mark. The scheme of applying the adhesive is chosen, for example, in order to best suit the functional purpose of the pack, i.e. whether it be a hinged-lid tutu or a sliding and shell tutu, a side-opening tutu or any other tutu. The above applies to the position and direction of at least one weakened line.

The method for packing smoking articles, such as cigarettes, is done by applying a non-permanent adhesive to tax mark 2 with its at least one weakened line on that side of tax mark 2 facing the pack 1 for cigarettes and sticking to mark 2 for payment taxes to the surface of a pack of 1 for cigarettes. This can be done in the tax stamp section. Later in the process, a fusible adhesive is applied to the surface of the tax payment label that is turned to the wrapping material to be wrapped around cigarette pack 1. Then the wrapping material is wrapped around a pack of 1 for cigarettes for

Claims (5)

CLAIM 1. A wrapped container having a sticker (2) attached to the container (1) and to the wrapping material, the sticker (2) containing at least one weakened line (3) and the sticker (2) being attached to the wrapping material with a strongly bonding the connection and the sticker (2) are attached to the container (1) with a weakly fastening connection so that when the wrapping material is removed, the sticker (2) at least partially breaks along the at least one weakened line (3) and is completely removed from the container ( one). 2.
