Технический результат достигается нагреванием металлического цинка при его кипении и окисление паров цинка при температуре 50-250°С до окиси цинка воздухом, подаваемым по току движения паров, при его расходе 35000-70000 м/ч. Технический результат достигается также устройством, содержащим камерную печь, в которой расположены муфели, каждый из которых выходит своим устьем в окислительный колодец, соединённый с входом для поступления воздуха и с уравнительной камерой для перемешивания полученных продуктов из всех окислительных колодцев печи; все колодцы печи соединены также с устройством, создающим разряжение, мощностью, позволяющей затягивать воздух объёмом 30000-50000 м/ч, и с устройством, нагнетающим воздух объёмом 5000-20000 м/ч по току движения паров цинка.The invention relates to a method for producing zinc oxide and can be used in the production of dry zinc oxide consumed in rubber, paint, chemical and other industries. The technical result is also achieved by a device containing a chamber furnace in which muffles are located, each of which leaves its mouth in an oxidation well connected to the air inlet and with an equalizing chamber for mixing the obtained products from all the oxidative wells of the furnace; All the wells of the furnace are also connected to a device that creates a vacuum, with a capacity that makes it possible to tighten air with a volume of 30000-50000 m / h, and with a device that forces air with a volume of 5000-20000 m / h according to the current of movement of zinc vapor.
