Abstract

A wrapped container (2) , in particular an overwrapped container of smoking articles such as cigarettes, has a label (10) attached to the container (2) and to the wrapper. A first portion (12) of the label (10) is affixed to the container (2) and less strongly affixed or not affixed to the wrapper and a second portion (14) of the label (10) is affixed to the wrapper and less strongly affixed or not affixed to the container (2) , whereby the second portion (14) of the label (10) is at least partially separated from the first portion (12) of the label (10) upon removal of the wrapper.
