Description

TEKNIKKENS STANDPUNKTBACKGROUND OF THE ART

The invention relates to a joint between a moldable metal cookware and its handles having a supporting part of a non-moldable iron alloy. By "moldable" and "non-moldable" is meant only relative differences between the materials, so that the non-moldable metal cannot be molded at temperatures normal to molding of the moldable metal, e.g. when comparing aluminum. By "cookware" is meant in addition to pots and saucepans any kind of container for cooking food during heating, e.g. frying pans and roasting pans.

In the known joints between cookware and their handles, a rivet joint has so far been used, unless the handle was molded in one with the tub. However, the rivet joints have the disadvantage that they are relatively difficult to perform in a safe manner. Thus, you know cases where in a production with rivet joints between handles and vessels in up to 5% of cases there is a compound that can break with the risk of accidents.

FORKLARING AF FREMBRINGELSENEXPLANATION OF PRODUCTION

What is new about the assembly according to the invention is that one end of the supporting part is embedded in the cooking vessel.

When casting e.g. aluminum pots are thus possible in a manner known per se to insert a non-moldable material, e.g. steel to which the handle is to be attached into the mold. Thus, when one end of the supporting portion of the handle is molded into the cooker, a joint is obtained which is superior to the known rivet joints. At the same time, the advantage of a supporting part of another material which is not as heat conductive as aluminum is retained.

The error rate at such a collection can be reduced to less than a tenth of what was known at the rivets.

It is preferred, as claimed in claim 2, that the end of the support member is provided with one or more transverse tabs. This makes it possible to obtain a secure assembly easily, as the castable metal encloses the tabs and provides a large surface for transferring the forces between the handle and the cooking vessel.

In order to strengthen the connection between the supporting part and the cooking vessel, the assembly can be carried out as claimed in claim 3.

Endvidere angår frembringelsen en anvendelse af en i sig selv kendt samling mellem et støbeligt og et ikke-støbeligt emne, hvor det ikke-støbelige emne delvis er omsluttet af det støbelige emne, i en forbindelse mellem et kogekar og dets håndtag..Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of a joint known between a moldable and a non-moldable workpiece, wherein the non-moldable workpiece is partially enclosed by the moldable workpiece, in a connection between a cookware and its handle.

TEGNINGENDRAWINGS

Embodiments of the invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the drawing, in which fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of the manufacture consisting of a handle element embedded in a saucepan; FIG. 2 shows the same as FIG. 1, but seen from above, FIG. 3 shows another embodiment of the production and consisting of a handle for a handle cast on a pot.

fig. 3.FIG. 4 shows the insert from the handle side; FIG. 5 shows the insert for itself seen from the left in FIG. Third

BESKRIVELSE AF UDFØRELSESEKSEMPLERNEDESCRIPTION OF THE EXAMPLES EXAMPLES

An aluminum saucepan 1 can be provided with a carrying handle by embedding the supporting part 2 in the side of the saucepan. Preferably, the support member is made of a steel sheet which is bent and perforated until it has the shape shown in FIG. 1 and 2. The supporting part is provided with lateral tabs 3 which are embedded in the side of the saucepan and thus act as an anchor.

Molding of the insert 2 is carried out in a manner known per se by placing the insert in the molding mold in which the saucepan 1 is molded. After casting, the supporting part 2 can be provided with a grip of plastic or wood, thereby providing a handle.

Another embodiment of the invention, cf. 3-5 relates to attaching the supporting part 5 to a handle for a pot 4. Here, the supporting part 5 is also made of sheet steel which is shaped as shown. Between the two projecting tabs 6 on the supporting part 5 there is a transverse part 7 provided with holes 8, through which the molten aluminum can pass through. This provides a better casting of the transverse part 7 at predetermined locations. Similar to the first embodiment, after embedding the element 5, a grip on the tabs 6 can be secured to form a handle.
