Abstract

Anthracycline glycoside antibiotics are bound in complex form with cardiolipin and then encapsulated in liposomes in order to reduce the mammalian cardiac tissue uptake of the anthracycline glycoside and thereby reduce the harmful effect of such cardiac tissue uptake. The invention is directed towards the preparation and to the production and use of the encapsulated complex of anthracycline glycoside.
