Abstract

Triazole compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which R is phenyl which optionally has 1-3 substituents selected from F, Cl, Br, I, CF3, alkyl and alkoxy, or R is a 5-chloropyridin-2-yl group, R1 is -CN, -CSNH2 or -CONR2R3, where (a) R2 is H or alkyl, and R3 is H, alkyl, benzyl, phenethyl, phenyl, -CH2F3, adamantyl, pyridylmethyl, cycloalkyl, carbamoylmethyl, alkenylmethyl, 2-hyroxyethyl, 2-(dimethylamino)ethyl, 2- (methylthio)ethyl, 2-(methylsulphinyl)ethyl, 2- (methylsulphonyl)ethyl or 2-phenoxyethyl, with the benzyl, phenethyl, phenyl and phenoxy groups optionally having 1 or 2 substituents on the phenyl ring, with these substituents being selected from alkyl, alkoxy, F, Cl, Br, I and CF3, or (b) R2 and R3, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are linked, denote a group of the formula: <IMAGE> in which R4 is H, alkyl, alkanoyl or alkoxycarbonyl, or (c) R2 is H or alkyl, and R3 is alkanoyl or benzoyl, with the benzoyl group optionally having 1 or 2 substituents on the phenyl ring, which substituents are selected from F, Cl, Br, I, CF3, alkyl and alkoxy, or (d) R2 and R3 are both alkoxycarbonyl, and R5 and R6 are [illegible] or CH3, and salts thereof, can be prepared by a number of different processes. The compounds can be used as fungicides for medical use in humans and for use within agriculture.
