Abstract
The tablet divider comprises a base 9 and a cover 14, the cover and the base being joined by a hinge. Stoppers 5, 6 are formed in the base, which retain one tablet fraction after the division. The said stoppers may furthermore also be located in the cover. Moreover in the base there is a depression 2, which retains non-circular tablets during the division. The same is done for the circular tablets, but here the hollow is simply replaced by flaps 3, 4. A cutter 13 and a number of wings 11, 12, which also retain the non-circular tablets during division, are located in the cover. Finally the divider is provided with a slide 8, which is intended to ensure that the tablets are located in the correct place before division. The tablet part retains the one half after division, whilst the second can be simultaneously released whilst retaining the first. The tablet divider protects the user against contact allergies and ensures that the tablets are divided very precisely, which means a very precise dosage. <IMAGE>
