Abstract
Device for controlling a light fitting. In a device for controlling a light fitting, particularly in indoor lighting installations designed for mounting over the area which is to be illuminated, a light detector 16 is connected to an electronic circuit 27-29 for the control of this. A screen 17 is arranged to limit the light falling on the detector, so that it comes from a target area which can be selected. There is an optical filter 18 placed in front of the detector 16 which primarily tranmsits light in a part of the spectrum where the ratio between the optical intrinsic signal and the optical main signal is a minimum. The detector 16 is preferably manufactured of a material with high spectral sensitivity in the area where the ratio between the optical intrinsic signal and the optical main signal is a minimum. In addition the electronic circuit 29 is arranged to calculate a main signal which corresponds to the optical main signal on the basis of the recorded variation in the lighting strength during an AC period. This mean signal is used as the basis for the control of the fitting. <IMAGE>
