Abstract

An elastic bulk yarn with a degree of shrinkage of at least 40% and a shrink resistance of at least 50% is produced by friction texturing from an elastomer multifilament thread, the fibrils of which are not stuck to one another. The bulk yarn produced is particularly suitable for the production of stockings, but also for textiles and other knitted fabrics for sportswear or overgarments. <IMAGE>
