Claims (14)
1. Optisk fiberkabel, omfattende: et polymert bufferrør, der afgrænser en indervæg, og en ydervæg og et ringformet rum, og en flerhed af optiske fibre placeret inde i det polymere bufferrørs ringformede rum; en kabelkappe, der omgiver det polymere bufferrør og flerheden af optiske fibre placeret inde i det polymere bufferrørs ringformede rum, idet kabelkappen afgrænser en indervæg og en ydervæg, hvor kabelkappens samlede krympningsspænding ved -40°C er 12 MPa eller mindre; og et lag snoede styrkegarner placeret mellem det polymere bufferrørs ydervæg og kabelkappens indervæg, hvor de snoede styrkegarner omfatter både fiberglasstyrkegarner og aramidstyrkegarner, hvor (i) styrkegarnerne har en forlængelse på mindre end 0,6 procent ved en belastning på 200 Ibf (889,64 N), og (ii) fiberglasstyrkegarnerne tilvejebringer mindst 55 procent af trækstyrken af det kombinerede styrkegarn; hvor det optiske fiberkabel ikke har nogen stive styrkeelementer.
2. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge krav 1, hvor kabelkappens samlede krympningsspænding ved -40°C er 11 MPa eller mindre.
3. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvor kabelkappen omfatter en polymer med lav krympning med en varmeudvidelseskoefficient (CTE) på 140x10_6/°C eller mindre ved 20°C og 75x10_6/°C eller mindre ved -40°C.
4. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav, hvor kabelkappen ved -40°C har en varmeudvidelseskoefficient (CTE) på 100x10_6/°C eller mindre og et modul på 2000 MPa eller mindre.
5. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav, hvor kabelkappen ved 20°C har et modul på 500 MPa eller mindre.
6. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav, hvor kabelkappen omfatter lineær polyethylen med lav densitet (LLDPE) eller polypropylen-ethylen-octen-copolymerer.
7. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav, hvor den samlede kabel-EFL er mindre en 0,3 procent ved 23°C, fortrinsvis mindre end 0,2 procent ved 23°C, mere fortrinsvis mindre end 0,1 procent ved 23°C.
8. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav, hvor fiberglasstyrke-garnerne tilvejebringer mellem 60 procent og 95 procent, fortrinsvis mellem 65 procent og 90 procent, mere fortrinsvis mellem 70 procent og 85 procent af trækstyrken af det kombinerede styrkegarn.
9. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav, hvor fiberglasstyrke-garnerne består af mellem 3 vægtprocent og 8 vægtprocent polymerer.
10. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav, hvor styrkegarnerne har en forlængelse på mindre end 1,0 procent ved en belastning på 300 Ibf (1334,47 N).
11. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav, hvor styrkegarnerne omfatter vandopsvulmelige aramidstyrkegarner.
12. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav, hvor det polymere bufferrør omfatter polypropylen eller polybutylenterephthalat (PBT).
13. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav, hvor det polymere bufferrør omfatter nukleeret polyethylen, nukleeret polypropylen eller en copolymer eller en blanding deraf.
14. Optisk fiberkabel ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav, hvor det polymere bufferrør har (i) en indvendig diameter på 1,4 millimeter eller mindre og (ii) en udvendig diameter på 3,0 millimeter eller mindre.
