Description
Dust bag system for vacuum cleaners
The invention relates to a dust bag system for vacuum cleaners, which permits one dust bag to be used for nearly all vacuum cleaner types.
The problem that there is a device-specific holding plate for the dust bag for nearly every vacuum cleaner type has been known for many years. Related to this is the disadvantage that the retail trade has to stock a large number of dust bags and the customer is faced with the search for the matching dust bag upon each purchase.
As long as this problem has been known, there have also been efforts to provide a remedy.
In WO 95/01747 A1, it is proposed that a dust bag be used which has a device-independent front plate having an outlet opening and this front plate has means for installing a device-specific holding plate on this front plate. Specifically, the means comprises two adhesive strips, using which the device-specific holding plate is fastened. This holding plate, which typically consists of cardboard or a plastics material, and which is to be detached from a full original bag, is thus consumed. In the case of the subsequent dust bag, the device-specific holding plate to be adhesively bonded is thus absent. It is therefore proposed that the dust bag be provided with an emptying opening, in order to use it multiple times. However, anyone who has emptied a dust bag once knows just how impractical this is.
In addition, soiling of the adhesive surfaces often occurs during placement of the device-specific holding plate, which has been used, and the adhesive bond is therefore unstable.
In DE 198 58 832 C1, the principle of adhesive bonding of a device-specific holding plate on an adapter plate is maintained; however, this is only necessary once, because this solution introduces a dust bag to be fastened detachably on the adapter plate. The disadvantage of this solution is that the device-specific holding plate only has a limited durability because of the cardboard material.
The user is no longer faced with the question upon each dust bag replacement of where he is to obtain a new device-specific holding plate, but rather only upon the third or fourth replacement. DE 20 2005 010 606 U1 and DE 20 2007 000 103 U1 again dispense with an adapter and propose connecting the dust bag or a front plate of the dust bag directly and detachably to a device-specific holding plate. However, it is not stated from where the customer is to obtain the device-specific holding plate from and a range of dust bags are thus still offered.
Furthermore, a dust bag system for vacuum cleaners is known from DE 20 2009 015 309 U1, comprising a connecting frame, which is fixable in a receptacle of the vacuum cleaner, and an adapter plate which can be connected to a dust bag, wherein the adapter plate has an inflow opening into the dust bag and the adapter plate can be connected or coupled to the connecting frame by fastening the adapter plate to a device-specific vacuum cleaner bag holding plate.
The object of the invention is to improve a dust bag system for vacuum cleaners such that one dust bag can be used for nearly all vacuum cleaner types, wherein the device-specific holding plates are to be dispensed with.
This object is achieved by the features of claim 1; advantageous embodiments are the subject matter of the dependent claims.
According to the invention, in a dust bag system for vacuum cleaners comprising a connecting frame, which is fixable in a receptacle of the vacuum cleaner, and comprising an adapter plate which can be connected to a dust bag, wherein the adapter plate has an inflow opening into the dust bag, the adapter plate can be connected or coupled to the connecting frame and the inflow opening of the adapter plate can be connected to a connecting piece of the vacuum cleaner so that it is sealed on the circumference, it is proposed that the spacing of the outer sides of the connecting frame is adjustable such that the connecting frame or strips connected to the connecting frame are insertable into the receptacle of the vacuum cleaner with an interlocking and force fit.
In a connecting frame made of a spring wire bent in an M, U, or V shape, the spring arms of which are used to establish the connection to the receptacle and on which the adapter plate is arranged, exact positioning of the inflow opening is already possible as a result of the interlocking and force fit.
Such a connecting frame ensures the vacuum-cleaner-specific arrangement of the universal adapter plate in the receptacle of the vacuum cleaner, since it has the option of width and height adaptation. It thus paves the way for a dust bag for nearly all vacuum cleaner types.
In the connecting frame made of spring wire, the preferred embodiment has a spring wire bent in an M shape, wherein the outer spring arms for establishing the connection to the receptacle are inserted into the vacuum cleaner and the middle part of the spring wire is connected to the adapter plate.
In the further embodiments having a spring wire bent in a U or V shape, each arranged on both sides of the adapter plate in a plane as the connecting frame, one arm is respectively connected to the adapter plate and the respective other arm is used as a spring arm for establishing the connection to the receptacle of the vacuum cleaner.
If strips are used, they are detachably connected to the spring arms in one embodiment, preferably plugged on and preferably twist-locked. Various widths can be used in this case, and therefore the spring travel for the spring arms can be limited.
Because the insertion depth of the spring arms into the strips is adjustable, the insertion opening may be brought optimally into correspondence with the connecting piece of the vacuum cleaner without displacing the strips in the receptacle. Of course, the strips can also be permanently or detachably connected to the spring arms and the length of the strips is adjustable. In order to adjust the length of the strips, in one preferred embodiment, said strips have break-off portions.
The strips may thus be shortened to the required amount. Markings referring to the vacuum cleaner type can be helpful in this case.
In the case of large receptacle widths, receptacle rails which reduce the distance on one or both sides can also be inserted into the receptacle of the vacuum cleaner, such that a suitable receptacle width for the connecting frame is achieved, which still guarantees a plug-in connection with an interlocking and force fit.
It has been shown that in spite of the varying nature of the holding plates for the dust bags of the vacuum cleaners, the width of the holding plates and thus the receptacle has been reduced to a few basic widths. The usage options which can be implemented by pressing together the spring arms are thus very extensive. The mentioned adjustment options may thus be restricted to special models of vacuum cleaners.
In the conventional dust bags, simple seals are used, since these are disposed of with the dust bag. Due to the separation of the seal from the dust bag and the arrangement of the seal on the inflow opening of the adapter plate or in a seal holder on the adapter plate, the seal is no longer one of the disposable parts. Higher-quality seals can therefore be used, which has the result that less fine dust enters the vacuum cleaner and leads to soiling or even breakdowns therein.
The seal is also preferably arranged detachably on a seal holder of the adapter plate.
The invention will be explained with reference to the drawings, in which:
Fig. 1: shows a connecting frame in a vacuum cleaner receptacle, and Fig. 2: shows a relaxed connecting frame.
Fig. 1 shows, in a view of the attachment side for the dust bag, the connecting frame 1 in the receptacle 6 of the vacuum cleaner.
The spacing of the outer sides 2, 3 of the connecting frame 1 is adjustable such that the strips 9 connected to the connecting frame 1 are insertable in a spring-loaded manner and with an interlocking and force fit into the receptacle 6 of the vacuum cleaner.
The connecting frame 1 consists for this purpose of a spring wire bent in an M shape, wherein the outer spring arms 7, 8 are used to establish the connection to the receptacle 6 in that they have strips 9, which are insertable in a spring-loaded manner and with an interlocking and force fit into the receptacle 6. For this purpose, the spring arms 7, 8 having the strips 9 (Fig. 2), which face outwards diagonally in the case of a relaxed spring wire, are pressed together and inserted into the receptacle 6. The spring arms 7, 8 then press the strips 9 into the receptacle 6, which is formed in most vacuum cleaners by a pair of longitudinal grooves. A spring-loaded interlocking and form fit results.
The middle part 10 of the M-shaped spring wire is connected to the adapter plate 4 such that the insertion opening 5 for the suction connecting piece of the vacuum cleaner remains free. Due to the connection of larger portions of the adapter plate 4 to the spring wire or due to a nonlinear multipoint fastening of the spring wire on the adapter plate 4, a stable location of the adapter plate 4 is ensured.
For positioning of the connecting frame 1 in the receptacle 6 not only due to the force fit, the insertion depth of the spring arms 7, 8 into the strips 9 is adjustable and/or the length of the strips 9 is adjustable. For adjusting the length the strips 9, said strips have break-off portions 11. A high-quality seal 13 seals the insertion opening 5 when the suction connecting piece is inserted. The adapter ring 14, using which a now universal dust bag is detachably fastened for replacement on the adapter plate 4, is located on the adapter plate 4.
Due to the separation of the seal 13 from the dust bag and the arrangement of the seal 13 on the inflow opening of the adapter plate 4, the seal is no longer one of the disposable parts. High-quality seals can therefore be used, for example, double-lip seals.
