Abstract
The eye syringe comprises a bottle-like container 1, which is made of plastic and in connection with the manufacturing process is filled with a sterile wash liquid and a rinsing element 2. The neck 3 of the container 1 has a seal 4 at its outermost end, in which the material is thinner than in the rest of the container. The rinsing element 2 is designed so that, when the seal is broken, it reveals an outlet opening 7 for the wash liquid and in connection with the inside of the container an eye bath 6, which is designed when rinsing an eye to centre the outlet opening 7 in relation to the eye and keep the latter open. Characteristic features of the invention are that the rinsing element 2 is designed to enclose the seal 4 and a part of the neck 3 as a cap 5, and that it has two projections 8, 10, which are arranged so that, when the rinsing element 2 in an outlet position is shifted, for example by means of a tap with hand, towards the eye bath 6 into a working position, they penetrate through the seal 4 and the container respectively. The projection 8 that penetrates the seal 4 is a pointed tube, which forms a connection between the inside of the container 1 and the outlet opening 7. The second projection 10 is designed to penetrate the container 1 at a point on the neck 3, at which, when the container 1 is turned, a lower liquid pressure prevails than at the outlet opening 7.
