Description :
The invention relates to a moulded end piece for a sectional door with a connection for an upper rail of the sectional door.
In a sectional door, the door leaf comprising panels connected together in a pivotally movable manner can be 1 moved at both ends along a runner rail and an upper rail between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the sectional door has an approximately vertical door leaf plane, running parallel to which is a first portion of the runner rail. This first portion of the runner rail is connected by an arc-shaped portion to a second portion, which defines the door leaf plane in the closed position of the sectional door. With the exception of the uppermost panel, the panels are guided at each side by means of a roller in the runner rail. The roller of the i uppermost panel in the closed position is guided in the upper rail, which extends essentially horizontally up to the door frame. The upper rail is spaced apart from the runner rail in the region of the curved portion of the runner rail, so that the uppermost panel is brought by means of a tilting movement into a vertical position. A moulded end piece is connected to the front end of the upper rail, which moulded end piece forms the subject-matter of the present invention. It comprises guide portions and/or stops, which define the movement of the i uppermost roller during the closing process.
The inherent weight of the sectional door is at least partially compensated for by a weight-compensating device, so that smaller loads occur during the opening and closing of the door. Since the forces applied by the sectional door during the opening out of the vertical closed position into the inclined opening position diminish, spring mechanisms which exert a diminishing tractive force during the opening process are particularly well suited for this. Torsion spring mechanisms and tension spring mechanisms for example are commonly used for this, the force whereof is transmitted via a traction cable to the door leaf. The traction cable is usually fastened to the lowest panel of the door leaf in the closed position and is guided via a deflection roller, which in practice is arranged rotatably on a bearing bracket fastened to the door frame. If no 1 lintel is present above the door opening and the upper rails have to be mounted close to the ceiling, the required space for the fitting of the bearing brackets has sometimes not been available. Furthermore, on account of additional components, further assembly work arises which is a hindrance to an efficient installation of the door. A moulded end piece with the features of the preamble of claim 1 is known from WO 2004/016892 A1. 1 Proceeding from this, the problem underlying the invention is to develop further the moulded end piece in such a way that the construction of a particularly stable and spacesaving sectional door is possible. The assembly should be further simplified and optimised.
The subject-matter of the invention and the solution to this problem is a moulded end piece according to claim 1.
According to the invention, the moulded end piece comprises i an integrally moulded roller mounting with a deflection roller of a weight-compensating device mounted rotatably therein. The deflection roller is integrated as a functional part into the moulded end piece. Apart from assembly-related advantages, it is thus also ensured that the tractive forces exerted by the weight-compensating device are always introduced independently of the assembly situation of the spring device in the optimum manner in the - O - vertical direction with a traction point close to the plane of the closed door leaf.
The moulded end piece preferably comprises a guide portion elongating the upper rail. In said guide portion, the roller guiding the uppermost panel during a closing movement continues to be guided after leaving the upper rail and arrives in a cranked part. The cranked part bends off at a sharp angle of approximately 90° from the course 1 of the upper rail or the part of the guide portion connected thereto. The uppermost panel thus cannot simply be pushed open in the closed position of the sectional door. If pushing forces are applied from the front perpendicular to the plane of the door leaf, these forces are introduced perpendicularly onto an outer surface of the cranked portion, as a result of which an upwardly acting moment does not result. The door therefore remains closed.
According to the invention, the deflection roller comprises i on the circumferential face at least one circumferential groove for receiving a traction cable of the weight-compensating device. For the assembly, the deflection roller can be pushed axially along the rotational axis into the roller mounting of the moulded end piece. In the mounted position of the deflection roller, the traction cable is enclosed by the cheeks of the mounting, so that the traction cable is prevented from jumping out. The deflection roller can be mounted on the body of the moulded end piece by means of a bolt. Alternatively, it can also be 1 secured on an axle integrally moulded on the moulded end piece by means of a retaining bracket or a snap ring.
The moulded end piece is expediently produced as an injection moulded part. With this production technique, the design according to the invention can be produced particularly easily. - 4 -
The moulded end piece is particularly preferably produced from metal injection moulding, in particular aluminium die casting.
Furthermore, a clamping device for a traction means of a door drive movable along the upper rail, which traction means is arranged in the upper rail, is preferably arranged on the moulded end piece. The traction means can in particular be a toothed belt held under tension in the i upper rail. The clamping device is expediently constituted as a receiving channel, into which a toothed belt can be inserted transversely to the load direction, wherein a wall surface of the receiving channel is formed as a negative profile of the toothed belt. A form-fit connection between the toothed belt and the receiving channel thus results.
The clamping device is preferably arranged below the connection for the upper rail and a locating surface of the connection and the clamping device are connected by an i arched surface for supporting the traction means. The traction means is guided as a loop over the arched surface and is fixed in the deflection device.
The invention is explained below with the aid of drawings, which represent merely one example of embodiment. In the figures, diagrammatically:
Fig. 1 shows the installation situation of an embodiment of a moulded end piece according to the invention 1 on a sectional door,
Fig. 2 shows an enlarged detail from fig. 1 without a representation of the door leaf,
Fig. 3 shows a perspective representation of the moulded end piece, — o —
Fig. 4 shows the moulded end piece from fig. 3 from a changed perspective and
Fig. 5 shows a rear view of the moulded end piece.
Fig. 1 shows a sectional door 1 with a moulded end piece 2 according to the invention. The door leaf comprises a plurality of panels 3, which are connected together in a pivotally movable manner and which are represented in a 1 closed position with a door leaf plane aligned approximately vertically. Rollers 4, 4' are arranged at the sides on the door leaf, by means of which rollers the door leaf can be moved along a runner rail 5 and an upper rail 6 between the represented closed position and an open position with an essentially horizontally aligned door leaf plane. Runner rail 5 comprises a vertical portion 5a, a horizontal portion 5b and an arc-shaped portion 5c connecting the two portions 5a, 5b. Uppermost roller 4' in the closed position is guided in upper rail 6. In the 1 region of arc-shaped portion 5c, upper rail 6 is spaced apart from runner rail 5, so that uppermost panel 3' guided by uppermost roller 4' can be brought into a vertical position in a space-saving manner during the closing movement. A moulded end piece 2 according to the invention is connected to the front end of upper rail 6.
The installation situation of moulded end piece 2 is represented in detail in fig. 2 without the covering of the door leaf. It can be seen from a comparative consideration i with fig. 3 that moulded end piece 2 comprises a body produced in one piece in the injection moulding process with a connection 8, in which upper rail 6 can be inserted. A deflection roller 10 with at least one groove 11 running around the circumferential face is mounted rotatably in a roller mounting 9 of the moulded end piece. It can be seen in fig. 1 and 2 that traction cable 12 of a weight-compensating device is guided via deflection roller 10. - O -
The one end of traction cable 12 (not represented) engages with lowermost panel 3 of the door leaf. The other end of traction cable 12 is placed under tension by means of a spring arrangement 13 and a reversed pulley 14. Spring arrangement 13 is relaxed with an increasing travel path of the sectional door in the direction of the opening position, wherein the tractive force applied by the weight-compensating device diminishes. At the same time, however, 1 the force of gravity exerted by the door leaf becomes smaller, since the panels are located increasingly in the region of horizontally running rail 5b. In the ideal case, the two opposing forces almost completely compensate for one another, so that only small forces have to be applied for the opening and closing.
Fig. 2 to 4 show that a guide portion 15 extending upper rail 6 for guiding a roller 4' of the sectional door is formed by moulded end piece 2 on connection 8 for upper 1 rail 6. Guide portion 15 comprises a cranked part 15a, which is bent downwards approximately at a right angle from the previous guide direction of an upper rail 6 inserted into connection 8. In the assembled state, cranked portion 15a is aligned in the vertical direction. This thus prevents the sectional door from being able to be opened by a pushing effect from outside against uppermost panel 3 parallel to upper rail 6. In the event of such an attempt, the pressing force is introduced into the rear wall of cranked portion 5a by the embodiment according to the i example.
For the assembly, deflection roller 10 can be inserted in the axial direction along the rotational axis into roller mounting 9 on the body of moulded end piece 2. In the mounted position represented in the figures, traction cable 12 is enclosed by cheeks 9a of mounting 9, in such a way that traction cable 12 cannot jump out of groove 11. In the represented example of embodiment, deflection roller 10 is mounted in a rotatable manner by means of a screw 16 on the body of moulded end piece 2.
Moreover, moulded end piece 2 comprises a clamping device 17 for a traction means of a door drive (not represented), said traction means being arranged in the upper rail. Clamping device 17 is constituted as a receiving channel, into which a toothed belt 18 can be inserted transversely 1 to the load direction. A wall surface 24 of the receiving channel is constituted as a negative profile of toothed belt 18. In the inserted position, toothed belt 18 can be secured by a retaining screw 19.
Clamping device 17 is arranged beneath connection 8 for the upper rail, wherein an arched surface 23 for supporting toothed belt 18 is provided between clamping device 17 and a locating surface of connection 8. One end of toothed belt 18 arranged in upper rail 6 is guided as a loop around i arched surface 23 and is fixed in clamping device 17.
Fig. 5 shows the rear view of moulded end piece 2 without further add-on parts. Moulded end piece 2 produced as an aluminium die cast part comprises stabilisation ribs 20 for stiffening and a bearing socket 21 for a peg or a screw 16 holding deflection roller 10. Furthermore, moulded end piece 2 can be fastened to a frame element of sectional door 1 with screws which engage through fastening holes 22.
