Abstract
When extracting juice from a citrus fruit 19, use is made of a juice extractor having a discharge tube 10 for insertion into the citrus fruit. At its insertion end 13, the tube 10 is designed with a cutting part 15 which comprises a cutting edge 14 which runs along an essentially straight line which is principally parallel with the axis of the tube. In addition, the tube can have a guiding edge 16 which runs along the curved tube end. The cutting part 15 is passed through the skin of the citrus fruit and the discharge tube 10 and the citrus fruit 19 are turned in relation to each other such that the cutting edge 14 cuts through the fruit skin until a substantial part of the discharge tube 10 has been passed into the fruit. The citrus juice is extracted through a tube by pressing on the skin of the fruit.
