Description
The invention relates to a pull-out device for cupboard drawers, in particular for drawers for tall cupboards in a formation according to the preamble of claim 1.
Pull-out devices of the conventional type have vertically oriented frames which are to be fastened to the pull-out element by means of tool-based fastening means. This requires a corresponding number of time-consuming working steps during installation of a cupboard drawer. A pull-out device of the above-mentioned type is known from EP 1 567 032 B1. In this document, a horizontally guided bolt is arranged so as to be hidden in a profile of the frame, which bolt is accessible from behind in the rear region of the inside of the cupboard and bolts the frame when the frame assumes the final installation position with respect to the telescopic drawer. This is not practical since unbolting can only be carried out with difficulty. The bolting is hidden by the profile of the frame such that even in the case of unbolting it is not possible to see when an unbolting position has been assumed.
The problem addressed by the present invention is to develop a pull-out device for cupboard drawers of the type mentioned at the outset such that the frame can be securely connected to the pull-out element by means of the holders, but furthermore it is also possible to unbolt it again easily.
To solve this problem, the pull-out device of the type mentioned at the outset is distinguished by the features indicated in claim 1. Essential further embodiments are indicated in claims 2 to 13.
Bolting and securing the holder to either the pull-out element or the frame enables the frame to be connected to the pull-out element without the use of tools. The holder can thus be preinstalled either on the frame or on the pull-out element at the factory such that the latching means can latch into a corresponding counter latch at a preset defined point, the fastening means is fixed in position and a horizontal countermovement is counteracted in the process.
The latching element is substantially vertically oriented and latches into a hole in the frame or the pull-out element. In this case it is adjacent to a fastening element which is inserted into a keyhole-type recess having a widened region in which a head of the fastening element can be inserted. The frame can then be moved along the fastening element within the keyhole-type recess and reaches the elongate-hole-like region of the keyhole recess. If it reaches the final position there, it lies at the end of the elongate hole such that a state in which the latching element can automatically be inserted into a corresponding hole is reached. Previously, the frame or the pull-out element held the latching means in a set-back position such that only after the hole of the latching element has been passed through, e.g. because of the action of a spring, can the latching position be automatically assumed.
As a result of the arrangement of the fastening element and the arrangement of the latching element so as to be oriented parallel thereto, the frame can pick up large tilting torques. Any undesired unbolting is ruled out. It is also possible to see whether the latching element is in the latching position. Unlatching or unbolting can occur in the visible region of the frame, at a point which is very accessible. A combination of a keyhole recess and a securing device for fixing in position in the keyhole recess is provided, the keyhole recess preferably being provided in an in particular U-shaped profile of the frame. The holder can itself be block-shaped such that it can be completely encompassed by the U-profile leg such that the U-profile of the frame encompasses the holder substantially without play.
The holder has a fastening means which has a mushroom-shaped head, i.e. a larger diameter than a shaft region lying therebelow, to which a widened larger region adjoins in turn and has a diameter which is greater still than the mushroom-shaped head and which forms the support surface for the frame. Since the fastening means can be inserted into the frame or the pull-out element and can be adjusted in height thereby, a height adjustment can take place by means of this fastening element. Since the adjacent latching means is spring-loaded and has an intended spring deflection which can participate in the height adjustment, a corresponding height adjustment can take place very simply by actuating the fastening means, after which the latching possibilities are maintained even at different height settings.
The fastening means is first inserted into the widened region of the keyhole recess, after which the pre-installed frame can then be moved horizontally. It is then inserted into the cut-in elongate-hole region of the keyhole recess, as a result of which it is ensured that the frame does not move vertically, since the horizontal leg of the U-profile is placed in the narrowed region and is overlapped by the mushroom-shaped head of the fastening means, and under which the support surface engages. A vertical movement is thereby prevented. When the frame has reached the final position, the latching automatically takes place. This all takes places without the use of tools. As well as the holder which is provided with the latching means, a further holder can be provided, which likewise enables additional latching. In many cases, however, it is sufficient to provide on this holder only the fastening means which is inserted into a corresponding keyhole - as described previously - such that the frame can then be supported on two holders of the pull-out element.
It goes without saying that the corresponding keyhole recesses and holes for latching can be provided on the pull-out element the other way round to that which has been described previously for the profile of the frame.
Further embodiments of the invention can be found in the additional dependent claims, the following description and the drawings, in which:
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a tall cupboard having a pull-out device;
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a frame of a pull-out device together with a front panel to be fastened thereto;
Fig. 3 is a schematic perspective view of an embodiment of a frame (shown in part), which is to be arranged on a pull-out rail, for a pull-out device for cupboard drawers;
Fig. 4 is a vertical section through the lower U-profile of the frame, having a holder, fastening means and latching means;
Fig. 5 is an embodiment of a frame prior to installing on the holder pre-installed on the pull-out element, and
Fig. 6 is a view, similar to Fig. 3, of an alternative embodiment.
In the drawings, parts essentially operating in the same manner are provided with like reference numerals.
Fig. 1 and 2 show an embodiment of a tall cupboard, which is designed as an apothecary cabinet, a front panel (F) or the like being able to be fastened to a front vertical longitudinal column 1 of the frame, which is generally denoted by 2. Trays (T) or the like can be attached to the front vertical column 1 and the rear vertical column 3.
The frame 2 has a lower, substantially U-shaped profile 4, in which two keyhole-type recesses 5 and a hole 6 are embedded. The frame 2 can be fastened to a pull-out element 7, which is designed in this case as a pull-out rail. The keyhole-type recess 5 has, as is also clearer from the view in Fig. 3 and 4, a widened hole region 5.1, which is adjoined by a narrowed elongate-hole region 5.2. When the parts are installed, the fastening means 8, as illustrated in Fig. 3 and 4, are located at the stop end of the elongate-hole region 5.2.
The fastening means 8 are designed to screw into the holder, which is generally denoted by 9, and to be height-adjustable. The fastening means have a mushroom-shaped head region 8.1 and a narrowed shaft region 8.2. In addition, a vertically oriented latching element 10 is fastened in the holder 9, which element has a spring region 10.1. This spring region 10.9 is attached to the holders. The holder 9, for its part, is connected to the pull-out element 7 by means of a fastening means, for example a screw 11 and an anti-rotation pin, in a height-adjustable manner.
For installation, the U-shaped profile 4, the inner width dimensions of which correspond substantially to the width of the holder such that this profile 4 encompasses the holder 9 securely and so as to be as free of play as possible and is laterally supported on said holder, can be placed on the holder 9, which is pre-installed on the pull-out element 7, and specifically on the region 8.3 where the narrowed shaft region 8.2 below the mushroomshaped head 8.1 of the fastening means 8 ends. The region 5.1 of the profile 4 of the frame 2 is placed on this head (Fig. 2) and is supported there. If a second holder 9 is provided with a corresponding fastening means 8, the frame 2 is placed on the two fastening means. The horizontal movement shifts the fastening means 8 into the region of the elongate hole 5.2. The latching element 10 which was previously pressed down by the U-shaped profile 4 moves into the region of the hole 6 in this case. When this position has been reached, the spring end 10.1 presses the latching means 10 into the hole 6, after which the frame 2 is securely connected to the pull-out element 7 and it is ensured that it does not move horizontally. All this takes place when installing on-site, without the use of tools. Due to the mushroom-shaped head 8.1 and the widened region 8.3 of the fastening means 8, it is ensured that the frame does not move vertically.
Fig. 5 and 6 show that for fastening the frame 2 to the pull-out element 9, it is sufficient to only provide one latching means 10 overall. It goes without saying that a latching means can be provided on each holder 9.
Since the holders are pre-installed at the factory, the frame 2 can only be installed and latched in a position such that no improper installation is possible. The latching brings about a stationary height setting stop in the downward direction. In addition, adjustment means for height adjustment and fine lateral adjustment can also be provided.
