Abstract

The creation relates to tea spot markings on golf courses, where it is customary that until several sets of bricks mark where golfers of different playing levels must turn off at the tea spot. Accordingly, light of different colors is used to mark the areas of the aforementioned levels of play. Furthermore, these markings of light can move automatically to ensure weed regeneration. The tea spot selection consists of light chains along the tea spot. The tee marking is buried at a suitable depth in the ground, so it is possible to mow grass while leaving the light visible to golfers.

Scope of production

This provision relates to a lighting system for use at golf course tea places.

The lighting system consists of two lines of light sources and covers the length of the tea room in the turning direction, and marks where golfers should turn off. The system is immersed in the grass at a suitable depth so that a mower can cross the grass unobstructed.

Prior art

The most widespread method of marking where players may turn off is solved by means of a set of bricks, typically of wood, which stands on both sides of the tea spot in the punch. In an area between these two bricks, the player must place his ball on a tee before starting to hit a hole for the first time. Most often, there are up to several sets of bricks that mark where players at different levels of play may turn off. It is individually between clubs how many sets of bricks are placed on the tea site and what levels are played below. Furthermore, these blocks should be moved regularly, about once a day, to ensure grass regeneration, as many blows to balls in the same area are otherwise damaging to the grass.

The technical problem

The existing bricks fulfill the intended function while being used on the golf course, but create inefficient working situations at each of the numerous golf course locations. The blocks must be moved both when regenerating grass, but also every time the grass at the tea places must be mowed. In addition, the move is not ergonomic for the person performing the work, as it requires a poor posture to lift and move the many bricks on the golf course.

The new technique

The new creation is made up of rows of light chains that are in a line along the beat at the tea site. The light chains are made up of a number of light sources that can be switched on or off individually and automatically, and additional lights in different colors. The light sources are immersed in sufficient depth in the ground so that a lawn mower can cut across freely, while the upper part of the light sources is near the ground boundary so the light is visible. A preferred light source technology is for this purpose made in LEDs. The burial in the soil can e.g. is performed at a depth where the top of the tea marker (1) aligns with the soil boundary between soil (4) and grass (3), as indicated in Figure 1a.

The technical impact

By using the technique mentioned above, the light system can use the light sources on the light chains to mark where golfers must switch off. Using light sources of different colors, the system can select selected areas of the tea area where golfers from different levels of play may have to switch off. The system defines the distance between the tea markings at the tea spot by turning off individual light sources that are not used for marking. The system can automatically turn on and off the individual light sources, thereby indicating new areas and thereby moving the markers for where players must turn off, which usually ensures grass regeneration. In this way, only the light has to move when regenerating grass, so it is no longer necessary to physically move the markings and the employee in question does not have to work in a poor position. The same applies to grass mowing where the depth of the light system in the ground causes the employee concerned to move the tea markings. The employee can move the grass unobstructed over the tea markings where neither lawn mower nor lighting system is damaged. At the same time, the light sources are near the earth's surface so the light is visible.

Exemplary embodiment Figure 2 shows a tea location (2) with tea markings (1) running along the shooting direction. Here, a golfer tends to hit the golf ball, which is placed between a couple of light sources on the tea markings. The light source pair can be moved across the tea markings to change the golf ball placement, reducing damage to the grass and promoting grass regeneration.

Figure 1 illustrates how the golf ball placement for two different game levels is indicated on the tea marks (1) at the same tea location (2). Using different colors, the lighting system shows where the light chains are switched off. Again, both light source pairs can simultaneously move along the light chain to promote grass generation.

Figure 1a illustrates the tea marking (1) buried in the soil (4), which lies at a suitable depth below the grass height (3). The tea marking (1) is dug to a sufficient depth to reach the lowest grass height (3) that any mower will cut. This ensures that neither mower nor lighting system is damaged. The lighting system is not dug deeper than the light from the unit is still visible.

Claims (5)

1. Tea spot marker (1) to mark where golfers may turn off at the tea spot (2) is new in that light is used for the marker. Tea site marking according to claim 1, is new in that it is assembled into one system for the tea site to replace the need for more tea markings per tea site. The tea spot marker according to claim 2, is new in that the light sources in the system can individually switch on or off and further change color, to mark where players at different levels must switch off at the same tea spot as seen in figure 1. 4. Tea site marking according to claim 3, is new in that the markings can move automatically for the purpose of benefiting grass regeneration. 5. Tea site marking (1) to mark where golfers may turn off at the tea site (2) is new by being buried in the soil (4) at the tea site at appropriate depth near the soil boundary and below the grass height (3). This allows mowing across the tea spot marker while making the light visible.
