Abstract
Når magneterne i overdelen anbringes lige over magneterne i underdelen, tiltrækker magneterne hinanden. Fig.1 viser underdelen (1), med 3 monterede magneter (2). Underdelen fastgøres i den ønskede position. Fig.2 viser overdelen (3) med monterede magneter (4). Fig.4 viser underdelen (7) monteret på et cockpitbord. A retaining assembly for holding items such as cups and mugs. The holder is designed in 2 parts with each set of magnets. One part is secured to a desired position, e.g. in the car or boat, and the other part is attached to or integrated into the object you wish to hold. When the magnets in the top are placed just above the magnets in the bottom, the magnets attract each other. If the upper part is rotated in the plane of the magnets, the magnets will come into a position where they repel each other and the upper part can easily be lifted from the lower part. Fig. 1 shows the lower part (1), with 3 mounted magnets (2). The lower part is secured in the desired position. Fig. 2 shows the upper part (3) with mounted magnets (4). Fig. 3 shows an embodiment of the profile of the lower part (5) and the upper part (6) in vertical plane which acts as guide for rotation of the upper part. Fig. 4 shows the lower part (7) mounted on a cockpit table. In Fig. 4 (8), the magnets are integrated into the bottom of a mug.

The present invention relates to a restraint device for e.g. known containers on the market, such as cups, mugs, cans, cans, bottles and boxes, etc., especially when used for liquids in mobile devices such as boats, cars, tractors, airplanes, etc., it is important for users that these containers are securely held in motion and that the container is easily removed without wasting the contents.
Products known in the market for this purpose may be designed as a bowl or funnel-shaped article in which to place the article, or as a ring or a hole which functions in the same way. Common to these solutions is that they do not hold the object very efficiently, and they fill a part when not in use, and they limit the size and shape of the subject you want to hold. Mechanically held containers e.g. with a spring, tends to drop suddenly, thereby causing involuntary, rapid movement which can result in spillage from the container.
Patent DE 20202868 U1 (FESTERLING) 14.08.2002 discloses the design of a 2-piece cup holder with a permanent magnet that is adhered to the substrate and a piece of steel plate that is adhered to the underside of a cup with double-sided tape. Hereby the cup is held by the attraction between magnet and steel plate. This solution, as with the spring retention, causes the problem that when you lift the cup, it is suddenly released with the risk that, by the rapid movement thereby triggered, you will waste the contained liquid. If the cup is provided with a lid to prevent wastage during this rapid movement, this lid must be provided with a one-hand operated closure device for e.g. a driver of a vehicle can use the cup while driving. Such a closure device would be difficult to apply to the beverage cans known in the market.
At the same time, both a permanent magnet and a steel plate will be exposed to rust attacks if placed without protection.
The present two-part holder acts in that one part is fixed in an approximately horizontal plane in the desired position, and the other part is integrated in or fixedly mounted on the workpiece you wish to hold. The two parts are coupled to magnetic sets which in one position bring two magnets directly over each other with opposite poles facing each other, thereby attracting each other, and which with a slight rotation of the loose part in the horizontal plane brings the fixed part the magnets in a position where they repel each other, thereby loosening the loose part from the fixed part.
The present invention relates to the design of a two-part holder which, by means of two or more magnets integrated into a sub-part fixed to the desired position, retains the upper part placed on top, which also contains a corresponding number of magnets. This top is integrated into or attached to the item you wish to hold. The magnets in both the upper and lower part are arranged in an approximately identical, horizontal, circular pattern in one plane around a mechanically controlled pivot point. The poles of the magnets are oriented so that when the magnets in the upper part are just above the magnets in the lower part they have opposite poles towards each other, thereby attracting each other. By a rotary motion about the center of rotation of the plane of the magnets, the magnets will be in a position where they repel each other, thereby releasing the upper part and being easily removable. This construction does not limit the size or shape of the held object. One can, for example. Use a mug with a handle or a square container. The design also allows for effective protection against rust.
Billedet fig.
