Abstract
The stop pin (12) prevents unwanted rotation of the rotary monitoring switch or temperature control switch (1). It is pressed into a bore (13) in a fixed housing (3) carrying a rotating switch member (2). The stop pin is made in three sections joined by thin flexures and has a conical end which is pressed against a circular track (10) with a roughened surface (11) to provide a controlled resistance to rotary motion. The rotating switch member has a hollow hub (5) with a thickened rim (8) which allows it to snap into place in a large diameter bore (6) in the housing.
