Abstract

A process for the manufacture of an abrasive tool is provided, said process comprises i) application of a soldering paste to a metal body; ii) application of tungsten carbide to the soldering paste; subjecting the metal body with soldering paste and tungsten carbide to a heating zone of a temperature of 980 to 1140 degrees C under a specific protective atmosphere; and iv) subjecting the obtained metal body having tungsten carbide soldered thereon to curing by a temperature declination. The obtained tool is useful as an abrasive tool for application on a power tool, such as e.g. a power tool of the eccentric orbit sander type.
