Abstract

A tube mill has a radial array of lifting paddles (7, 8) located between the mill wheel front (3) and rear (4) faces. The wheel has a central air aperture (5) at the centre of an annular partitioning passage (10) into which the product particles drop from the paddles. The passage has vanes and discharge outlets to the rear face and air supplied by the passage (5). The annular passage esp. esp. incorporates spiral guide vanes which drive the product particles from the inlets to the outlets.
