Abstract

A device serves for stacking folded printed matter, which is conveyed between two vertically positioned rollers 7, which are in turn followed by a further vertically positioned roller 8, by means of which a predetermined number of folded items of printed matter can be fed to either one or the other of two turning units 11 fitted on each side of the longitudinal axis of the device for leading the folded items of printed matter over into the horizontal position again. After each of the said turning units 11 a catcher curve 14, 15 is fitted with a vertically displaceable fork 14', 15', by means of which the stack S formed in the catcher curve can be lowered down onto an air cushion table 18. The stack is then shifted on the said table transversely to the longitudinal axis of the device over to a centre fork 19, which lifts the stack/stacks up, in order each time to push a new stack, turned through 180 degrees, in below. <IMAGE>
