(54) Fishing hook.

When fishing with long lines, the line is provided with a large number of hooks, each connected to the line through a so-called forefinger. During fishing, every hook must be provided with bait, and when the line is not in use, efforts should be made to the greatest possible extent to avoid kinkes or knots on the line with its associated foreplay.

In United States Patent Specification No. 3,210,883, it is known to obtain a detachable connection between a fishing hook and a catch, the fishing hook being formed with a strong head formed by a thickening of the hook neck at its free end, while the replacement has a head , which consists of an elastic material and is formed with a cavity so that the head of the hook neck can be accommodated and retained in the cavity of the foreskin head and again removed from it by utilizing the elastic properties of the material of the foreskin head.

The fishing hook according to the invention is characterized in that the hook neck near its free, tapered end has a reduced diameter portion so that at the end of the hook neck a head is formed, the diameter of which corresponds to the diameter of the hook neck.

This configuration makes it possible to produce the fishing hook of a single rod-shaped article, the portion of the hook neck having a reduced diameter and thus the head of the hook neck can be formed by pivoting the rod material. The production thereby becomes both simple and inexpensive.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, which shows an example of how a fishing hook according to the invention and an associated fishing head can be designed.

In the drawing, the head of the hook neck is shown inserted into the head of the forearm, which is shown partly in section.

The scoop head 7 shown consists of a substantially cylindrical hollow body which has at one end a space 71 for receiving a knot 31 on a scoop 3, and a second compartment 72 at a distance from the first for receiving and retaining a head 44 at the neck 42 of a hook 4, the forging head 7 at this end terminating with an aperture of smaller diameter than the head neck of the hook 44. The fishing hook 4 thus comprises the hook 41 itself with barbs, an elongated neck 42, a tapered portion 43, a portion of reduced diameter 47 and a head 44 of the same diameter as the hook neck.
