Abstract

The vehicle driver (1) grasps the steering wheel (2) and has a movable sunshade assembly (3) in front of him. The sunshade may pivot in the usual way and contains a video camera and visible and infrared LED's behind semireflecting mirrors. The field of view of the camera (6) includes the driver's head. The camera is connected to a computer and an alarm system.
