Abstract

Flushing and refill device 1 for use in a wc-cistern 2 having a lid 3, comprising a trigger mechanism 13, an edge discharge pipe 17, an inlet ball float device 18 and refill device 19, a foot valve 32, 35 and an outlet ball float device 20 co-operating therewith. All these parts combine to form a unit which can be semi-automatically or fully automatically installed. They are further provided with means 42, 186-189 for the compensation of varying mutual and external measures and angles. One of these means is a joint 42 about which the edge discharge pipe 17 is rotatably fastened in an edge discharge branch 31 to a bottom part 12, the other branch 30 of which pipe forms the seat 32 for the foot valve. The trigger mechanism 13 has a knob 159 which can be switched between pressure and lifting function, the mechanism comprising means which exert a pulling action upon the outlet ball float 113, regardless of the knob setting. The inlet ball float device 18 always produces the same refill quantity, whilst the outlet ball float is adjustable to different height positions on a lever 112, implying different flush quantities. The edge discharge pipe 17 is configured conically, with the narrower part downwards, and bears both the inlet and outlet ball float device and the trigger mechanism, wherein the latter, with its upper part, forms anchorage to the cistern lid. <IMAGE>
