Abstract

A flue gas pipe intended for mounting in a flue duct 3 and comprising a pipe 10 and, mounted in one of its ends, a pipe connection 30 for connection to a connection collar 2 belonging to a fireplace insert 1. In order to make it possible to mount the flue gas pipe in curved flue ducts and facilitate removal of soot from these, the pipe is flexible and, at its other end, connected to a transition pipe 20 which widens radially and axially away from the flexible pipe 10, and has, at its wide end, flexible flanges which are adapted so as to bear, with their peripheral edges, against the walls of the flue duct 3, and, in the mounted state of the flue gas pipe, slope inwardly and downwardly from the walls towards said other end. To mount the flue gas pipe, it is guided up in the flue duct 3 with the transition pipe facing upwards and with the outer edges of its flanges in contact with the walls of the flue duct. <IMAGE>
