Abstract

The invention relates to a vehicle segment (90, 92) for a rail-mounted articulated vehicle comprising a load bearing structure (98) that is arranged on at least one pair of wheels (94) and comprising an outer covering (102) which has a tubular cross-section, which is placed on the load bearing structure (98), and which covers the mounted parts of the vehicle segment, whereby the longitudinal axis of the covering extends in a direction of travel. The covering of the inventive vehicle segment can be coupled in rigid manner to the covering of an adjacent vehicle segment and comprises at least one articulated covering section (118) that has a predetermined length in the direction of the longitudinal axis.
