Abstract
To shape a buried concrete pillar, a pipe (21) with a leading end cover (22) is driven into the ground by a vibrating unit (18) at the rear end. The pipe is filled with concrete, which is compressed by vibration. The pipe (21) is withdrawn, leaving the end cover (22) in place. During vibration (18), a driving force (15) is applied to the pipe (21).
