Abstract

A pipe comprises two permanently bonded layers of non-cross-linked thermoplastic polyolefins, the inner layer having roughly FNCT (full notched creep test) value of a single layer standard pressure pipe and the outer layer having a ≥ 3 times higher F value. Preferred Features: Both layers consist of high density polyethylene (HDPE), the outer layer consisting of HDPE copolymeriz with hexene and having a bimodal molecular weight distribution, especially Finathene ER 2241C or ER 2252C. Alternatively, the la consist of polypropylene.
