Abstract

The invention relates to a fuse, comprising a fuse holder (4) which contains a fuse link (6) for a certain nominal current and is inserted into a sink (12) in a housing of the fuse (1). A coding tongue (2) is provided for at the fuse holder (4) which rests elastically against the base contact (10) of the fuse link (6) and which depending on the nominal current projects more or less far outwards from the corresponding side wall of the fuse holder (4). A coding insert (24) is inserted into the sink (12) of the fuse (1) and fitted with a recess (26) for the coding tongue (20) which is more or less deep, depending on the nominal current.
