Abstract

A width drawing rod (1) is for scutching running textile material (6) and features a rigid roll body (2) equipped with bearing pins at its ends and a surface covering (5) located on the roll body (2) made of an elastomer. The covering (5) has notches (8, 9) which run diagonally to the longitudinal roll axis and are inclined from the inside outwards on both sides of the radial middle plane of the roll in relation to the relevant roll end. The notches (8, 9) provided on both sides of the radial middle plane (7) each take the form of uniform undercut coil running from the middle plate (7) to the outer roll plane.
