Abstract

Foam mouldings are dried by exposure to microwave radiation under reduced pressure. Treatment is at 0.4-0.9 bars, a temp. in the body of the foam of 50-90 deg.C, a microwave output of 1-50 kW, for 1-180 mins., to a residual water content of 6-12%.
