Abstract
A compact air-conditioning unit and/or compact ventilating/air-heating unit for a vehicle, for mounting on the roof of a vehicle is proposed, which unit is subdivided into four main components: - a self-supporting core unit (1, 1') with the components of an air-conditioning unit or compact ventilating/air-heating unit, - a first front part (17), with air-intake grille (18) and air filter (19), which can be mounted on the first lateral surface (2) of the core unit (1, 1'), parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, and is intended for intake of the air to be conditioned, - a second front part (23, 23 [sic]), with air-intake grille (24), which can be mounted on the second lateral surface (3) of the core unit (1, 1'), parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, and is intended for intake of cooling air or air to be conditioned, - a third front part (29, 29') which can be mounted on the first end surface (4) of the core unit (1, 1'), perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, and has a transverse duct and at least one air-connector (31, 32, 33) for introducing the conditioned air into the vehicle (41, 41'). <IMAGE>
