Abstract

Not only draff but also used kieselguhr-containing filter aids and paper products will in future have to be increasingly disposed of on landfills or in refuse incinerators. Since this method of disposal is neither economically nor commercially desirable, the new process provides an inexpensive way of disposing of draff, used kieselguhr-containing filter aids and paper products. It consists in admixing a multi-component building material with draff and/or used kieselguhr-containing filter aids and/or paper products in the course of its production. Suitable building materials are in particular ceramic building materials, concrete, cement and asphalt.
