Abstract

The invention relates to a monitorable device and a procedure for sealing a body (K), in particular a refuse dump/sanitary landfill. The device has two mutually spaced seals (1, 2) between which there is located a control space (3) which is closed except for terminals, a first and a second bushing (5, 6) being connected in the control space (3) by a permeable channel or flexible tube (16) for a transport medium, to which there is connected on the output side a sensor (8) for a substance to be monitored. The invention also relates to a procedure for monitoring a device for sealing a body. It is provided that the sensor (8) is sensitive to a gas present in the body (K). A level gauge (10) for liquid is arranged in the control space (3). Moreover, a pump (11) and a pressure gauge (14) are connected to the control space (3). <IMAGE>
