Abstract

An apparatus is described for charging viscous liquids with gas by ultrasonic transducers. The apparatus has two active elements, a mechanic cavitation element in the form of a discus-shaped rapidly rotating disc having axial bores and a resonating chamber which is irradiated by a plurality of ultrasonic elements arranged in pairs situated opposite one another. Downstream of the resonating chamber is an amplitude transformer, by means of which the frequency is reduced and the amplitude is increased. Gas/liquid suspensions are achieved, having a bubble size of 2 to 3 mu m. <IMAGE>
